Services

X-Ray

X-ray is often the first step in screening. X-rays emit very little radiation, are painless and take very little time. It is used to detect a number of conditions including fractures; bone tumors; lung cancer; pneumonia; tuberculosis; heart failure; enlarged heart; COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease); infections and inflammation; blocked blood vessels; kidney stone; digestive tract problems; and, swallowed object detection.

CT Scan

NOMS Premium Imaging Services has Computed Tomography (CT) scanners that produce clear, sharp, high-quality images of any body part, such as the chest and lungs, abdomen, pelvis, bones, blood vessels, brain, and tissues to help diagnose abnormalities including tumors, bleeding, bone calcification, and cysts. Our CT produces high-quality cross-sectional images in a series of slices that are manipulated in a computer to produce high-resolution, 3D images. These scans are also called CAT scans. Computed tomography (CT) combines the use of X-rays with the latest computer technology to take detailed images of any body part. Using a series of X-ray beams, the CT scanner creates cross-sectional images. A computer then reconstructs the "slices" to produce the actual pictures. Considering that some slices are as thin as 1 millimeter, a CT scan offers much more image detail than a traditional X-ray, which means your doctor obtains detailed images to help make the most accurate diagnosis. Patients may need to fast or receive contrast dye before being scanned. For the imaging scan, patients are positioned on a table which glides into the scanner while pictures are taken. Patients need to remain motionless during imaging. CT scans are extremely fast and painless procedures.

MRI

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is one form of imaging modality used by physicians to look inside the human body to obtain clinically useful diagnostic information. Incorporating an advanced technology, MRI produces images of the anatomy without the use of radiation required with other imaging modalities such as x-ray and CT scanning. The benefits of magnetic resonance imaging are many, with new applications continually being developed through on-going research. The procedure is used for all parts of the body.

Ultrasound

Our highly trained staff and board-certified radiologists provide excellent service for a variety of general and advanced ultrasound needs. Ultrasound is a non-invasive technique that is used to generate real-time images of your body’s internal structures. Through a series of high-frequency sound waves, ultrasound technology allows for the visualization of blood vessels, internal organs, and fetal development.

Mammography

Mammography is still the number one screening tool for breast cancer. Breast cancer is one of the few cancers that is curable if detected in its early stages. Getting an annual mammogram can be a lifesaving practice. At NOMS Imaging, we offer scheduled as well as same-day mammography. Each scan is interpreted by a highly qualified board certified radiologist. The SmartCurve™ System is designed to give better and more comfortable compression to women with dense breast tissue & is the highest quality 3D tomography.

Bone Density Test

Bone density tests tells you if you have normal bone density, low bone density (osteopenia) or osteoporosis. It is the only test that can diagnose osteoporosis. The lower your bone density, the greater your risk of breaking a bone. A bone density test can help you and your healthcare provider: learn if you have weak bones or osteoporosis before you break a bone predict your chance of breaking a bone in the future see if your bone density is improving, getting worse or staying the same find out how well an osteoporosis medicine is working let you know if you have osteoporosis after you break a bone
