In 1999, Josh began his career in public accounting in Akron, Ohio. From inception, his professional focus and client niches were in the healthcare industry, with specific emphasis on independent, private practices. In 2005, he moved to a super-regional public accounting firm and remained heavily immersed in healthcare. In March of 2007, he joined NOMS Healthcare as director of finance.
Since 2007, he has held a variety of progressively responsible roles and responsibilities within NOMS, including: overseeing NOMS first EMR implementation and practice management conversion; intricate involvement with many practice mergers and acquisitions; advising on several large building construction and consolidation projects; and, restructuring NOMS central operations during a significant investment phase.
In addition to finance director, Josh has served NOMS as, CFO, COO, and since April 2015, as President & CEO. In this role, he has effectively increased the size of the organization by 500%, over a five year period.
Josh received his Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting) from Kent State University in 2000 and his Master of Taxation from the University of Akron in 2004. He received his CPA license in 2008.
Known among the large and ever-expanding NOMS family for his quick wit and approachability, he is most often noted for wearing a sports jacket and “NOMS-blue chucks.”
He serves on a variety of community boards, is active with his local school district and church, and enjoys spending free time with his wife Jennifer, children, William, Lucas and Stella, and rescue hounds, Cooper and Colt. Josh enjoys spending time with family, clay shooting and hunting and supporting Firelands Schools’ Academics and Athletics.
