EHR Clinical Analyst - Full Time
Amherst, OH
Under the supervision of Information Technology Director, this position will facilitate the development and implementation of the EHR System.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and instruct training program for new providers and established team members and assist with the on boarding of new provider offices.
- Review, evaluate, and test new software. Develop and implement approved processes flows with team members.
- Identify, troubleshoot and resolve software problems through taking helpdesk calls and rounding within offices.
- Work closely with the vendor helpdesk to resolve software problems.
- Assists users to identify software and procedural requirements.
- Maintain excellent customer service while working with NOMS physicians and team members.
- Assist analyst team with new user training, office workflow rounding and helpdesk as needed.
- Ensures that the software functions efficiently on a daily basis and remains in safe functioning condition.
- Stays abreast of leading-edge information technology, communications and healthcare software applications.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Knowledge of electronic medical record processes, problem identification, medical data processing practice.
- Possess an understanding of workflows, policies, procedures, patient care and clinical business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Skill in performing as programmer/analyst to resolve critical problems, coordinate simultaneous efforts, recover from data loss, speed up development, improve program efficiencies.
- Ability to be oriented to end-user support needs across multiple sites.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, both written and oral.
Education and Work Experience:
- Associates degree in information systems, clinical or technical field preferred.
- Minimum three (3) years progressively responsible experience in information systems. Healthcare setting preferred.
- Electronic Health Record and/or eClinical Works experience preferred.
Environmental/Working Conditions:
- Office setting and computer facility. Minimal exposure to communicable diseases.
- Must be flexible, will include some evening hours.
- Position required 100% travel to NOMS outlying offices, which may include overnight stays.
Physical/Mental Demands:
- Requires sitting for long periods at computer terminal, bending, reaching, stretching.
- May involve lifting up to 30 pounds of light equipment.
- Requires manual dexterity for operation of keyboard.
- Position will require daily travel to and from outlying offices.
