Diabetic Foot and Lower Leg Care
Diabetic patients have an extensive risk for limb amputation. Our goal is to educate the patient to prevent recurrence of wounds/ulcerations and offer the patient advanced wound care treatment medically and surgically, including skin substitutes/skin grafting. Unfortunately, at times, partial or complete toe or foot amputations are required to save the patient's foot, leg and life.
Diabetic Extra-depth Shoes/Custom Foot Orthotics
In an attempt of ulceration/limb amputation-prevention, your insurance may cover extra-depth diabetic shoes and custom foot orthotics to remove pressure from previous ulcer locations as well as new pre-ulcerative areas of calluses. We also offer custom foot fillers that fit in patients’ shoes after amputations are successfully performed.
Custom Foot Orthotics/Insoles
We offer the latest, most advanced custom foot orthotics that will fit a variety of patients’ shoe gear needs. Each of the custom foot orthotics is made from a custom mold/impression of patient's foot. Many times these custom foot orthotics resolve the patient's pain and make surgery unnecessary.
Custom Ankle Braces/Ankle-foot Orthotics/AFOs
When necessary for pain including severe arthritis and deformities of the ankle, mid foot and lower leg: A custom-made brace that supports the lower leg, ankle and foot may be necessary to resolve the patient's pain and return to a quality of life including activities of enjoyment/employment and to avoid reconstructive surgery.
