My Approach to Care

I work closely with our nurse practitioners and care team to make sure this same approach is reflected in every visit, whether you’re seeing me or another provider in the practice. Together, we focus on clear communication, education, and realistic care plans that support your health today and well into the future.

I am a board-certified family physician providing comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages—from newborns and children to adults and older adults. My practice includes preventive care, chronic disease management, health screenings, and acute care visits. I have a special interest in women’s health, including contraception, postpartum care, breastfeeding medicine, mental health conditions, breast and cervical cancer screening, osteoporosis, and menopause. I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and pursuing Menopause Society Practitioner Certification.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering from the University of Toledo, with a minor in entrepreneurship, before attending medical school at The Ohio State University—where I proudly became a Buckeye and welcomed my first child during my final year of training. I completed my Family Medicine residency at Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky, where I served as chief resident. My second child was also born at Firelands, further strengthening my connection to the region. I currently live in Vermilion, Ohio with my husband, two children, Sunny (dog), and Petunia (cat), and I am honored to care for patients across north-central Ohio.
