NOMS Southwest Orthopaedics provides physical therapy services to our patients at both the Parma and Middleburg Heights office locations. Our Physical Therapy departments are conveniently located on the ground floor and are easily accessible to and from parking. Our multidisciplinary team of highly skilled therapists provides each patient with a comprehensive and individualized orthopaedic rehabilitation program. Our goals are to restore function and strength, enabling our patients to return to the quality of life they had prior to impairment.
Our physical therapists use an individual’s history and physical examination as well as incorporating any laboratory and imaging studies to arrive at a diagnosis and establish a management plan. Physical therapy management commonly includes assistance with education, specific exercises, manual therapy, manipulation, and other interventions.
In addition, our physical therapists work with individuals to prevent the loss of mobility before it occurs by developing fitness and wellness-oriented programs for healthier and more active lifestyles, providing services to individuals to develop, maintain, and restore maximum movement and functional ability throughout the lifespan. This includes providing services in circumstances where movement and function are threatened by aging, injury, disease, or environmental factors.
Common problems treated with physical therapy include fractures, sprains, strains, and overuse injuries. Our physical therapy professionals also address osteoporosis, back injuries, posture dysfunction, and gait deviations. We also rehabilitate post-surgical patients after arthroscopic procedures and joint replacements.
